What is Church Lane Everybody's Church Membership all about?
Church membership is simply the way that an individual identifies with Church Lane Church as their spiritual home.
If you are a committed Christian and regularly worship here, then church membership is for you.
Why should I consider church membership?
There are good reasons for becoming more involved with the church family than just attending church services or activities.
We believe that God uses the local church to transform us to be the people he wants us to be and through church blesses our local community and beyond.
This is achieved as individuals commit to the Lord and to one another as the body of Christ.
What do I have to do to become a member?
You need to be a committed Christian, basing your life on a set of beliefs that we call our statement of faith.
If you would like to become a member of the church talk with Stephen the Pastor or one of the church elders.
What do I have to commit to?
You are joining the church family and there will be an expectation that you will:
- help, encourage, care and support others in the church family (Galatians 6:10)
- serve God through using your God given gifts and skills (Romans 12:4-8)
- support the work of God financially, as you are able (2 Corinthians 9:7)
- recognise the responsibility that God has given the church elders and be open to the support, guidance and care they offer (Hebrews 13:17).
What happens when I ask to become a member?
Once you have asked to become a member, you will meet with two elders to discuss what membership means.
If you are ready to take on membership you will be officially welcomed at a Sunday church service.
